These happen to me all the time, they are considered the lowest risk threat, barely even a threat at that, i find i get them from adverts, if your anti-virus software tells you the URL where you picked it up i suggest blocking all cookies from that URL (in internet explorer: tools %26gt; internet options %26gt; privacy %26gt; sites then type in the URL and press block)

hope i helped.

a tracker cookie is simply a file placed on your computer automatically by a specific website in which you visited. it is harmless, however, can be used to gain your personal information such as email addresses, including your name and location. Nothing in relation to credit cards, although. dont worry about it. if you want to change your settings relating to cookies and their placement, go to Tools on the top of your web browser (depending on which one you use) and click on Internet Options. Then click on the Privacy tab and turn your cookies setting up.
Cookies are just small .txt (text) files that by themselves cannot hurt your computer. Cookies are "set" by almost EVERY web-site that you visit, on every visit. You can delete all your cookies today and by tomorrow you will have dozens again just be visiting web-sites.
