up my norton security scan. I can run other spyware removal tools though but they couldn't fix the problem. I got this virus from Internet Explorer when I downloaded Active X from a site. I've deleted the Active X files My entire deskstop became red in color and a message "The Privacy is in danger. Download privacy protection software now." is displayed. A spyware alert folder popped up by itself and Window internet explorer opened up on its own which directed me to a site which I'm required to download the spyware program to fix this problem. I refused.... Please help.

I use AVG, Ad-Aware and Spybot Search and Destroy. It is always good to have a mixture of programs because while none are perfect, you can keep your system clean with a few. The ones I use are all free.
