I was just looking around the web about stars on wikipedia so when i exited out a few minutes later all these pop ups about my computer is infected and i need to install this and that to protect my computer.So i scanned it with norton and there were no virus or anything so just tell me a way how i can stop all these things about my pc gettin infected.WITHOUT USING MY MONEY.

Norton scans for viruses, you have adaware/spyware and you need to get anti-spyware programs.

Pop-ups are mostly caused by Malware (computer viruses, worms, trojan horses, spyware, dishonest adware, and other malicious and unwanted software) and using pop-up blocker won't help an infected PC. Since no single program can detect and eradicate all spyware, I recommend using Ad-aware and Spybot which are among the best (they are free).

Running these programs in Safe Mode (tap F8 as the computer boots up and choose to boot to safe mode) can be more effective.

If you do not have an updated anti-virus program always running, you need to get one. Install only 1, but you can get AVG, Avast! or AntiVir for free.
